Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position Description The Department of Neuroscience (NEU) at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of non-tenure track Lecturer positions to teach NEU courses as needed. Teaching Responsibilities We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach/co-teach small, medium, and large size lectures, seminar, and/or laboratory courses in the subject areas listed below: Brain, Mind and Behavior Drugs and the Brain Exploring the Brain: Introduction to Neuroscience Neurodevelopment Hormones and Behavior Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology Neurobiology of Disease General Duties In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), maintaining a course website, and using a learning management system (e.g., bCourses at UC Berkeley, Canvas, etc.). Qualifications Basic Qualifications (required at time of application):
A Master's degree (or equivalent international degree) is required by time of application. Additional Qualifications (required at time of start):
A Ph.D or M.D. degree (or equivalent international degree) is required to teach a lecture course by the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
