The Center for Jewish Studies in the College of Letters and Science at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses as needed in the areas of Jewish history, culture, languages, arts, or other topics in Jewish Studies. The Center is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching and those who share our core values. General Duties:

In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g. syllabus), maintaining a course website, and participation in programs and events in the Center. Qualifications Basic qualifications:

Minimum qualification required to be considered an applicant for the position is completion of at least a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent international degree) by time of application. Additional qualifications:

For those who are not US citizens or permanent residents, a legal permit that allows work in the United States (such as a US Visa that allows employment) is required by the start date of the position. Preferred qualifications:
