About this role:
Rackner is seeking System Administrator that will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of an organization's computer systems.
Ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and provide technical support to end-users.
We are seeking professionals with:
7+ years; conducting system administration or a related role. Supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Administrating virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Oversee networking concepts and protocols. Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. What will make you successful:
System Configuration and Maintenance:Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software patches. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Security Management:Implement security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other cyber threats. Conduct regular security audits and apply patches and updates as needed. User Support:Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up user accounts, and resolving connectivity problems. Backup and Recovery:Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data integrity and minimize downtime. Test backup systems regularly to ensure reliability. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and security. Automation and Optimization:Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline system administration processes. Implement automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency. Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support organizational goals and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
