Job Description
Looking for 1 individual willing to travel to various work sites located near Boston, MA, Manchester NH, Portland ME, White River Junction VT, West Haven CT.
Salary - Depending on Experience
OVERVIEW Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work and adherence to the budget meet all requirements of the contract documents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Review and analyze all project construction documents including but not limited to drawings, specifications, amendments, accident prevention plan, quality control plan, and scope of work.
Coordinate and inspect sub-contractor work to ensure compliance with contract documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, quality control, and safety requirements.
Identify and communicate all problems and areas of concern to Project Manager.
Document daily on-site activities and progress including manpower, work performed, inspections, deliveries, delays, weather conditions - with narrative and photos.
Coordinate and hold regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure project is on schedule and subcontractors understand the project plans and specifications.
Identify and communicate site safety concerns, conditions, and problems.
Maintain and prepare various daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Implement and enforce accident prevention plans.
Implement and maintain the project quality control plan including the 3 phases of control.
Perform daily quality control inspections and reporting.
Coordinate and oversee third-party inspectors.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project manager and assistant project manager.
Assist project manager with schedule development, updates, progress reports, and look ahead reports.
Prepare punch lists.
Maintain SDS (MSDS) list of hazardous materials on site.
Traveling as needed.
Occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of your job.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, plus a minimum of five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, plans, drawings, and specifications.
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license.
OSHA 30 certification.
USACE CQM Certification.
USACE EM385 – 40 Hour.
CPR & First Aid Certificate.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiar with Procore or willingness to train.
Ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision and exercise discretion and judgment regarding matter of significance.
WORKING CONDITIONS The conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
