JMT's North Carolina Team is seeking a NC Statewide CM/CEI Manager and can be located in either the Asheville, Charlotte, or Raleigh offices.
Responsibilities
Establish and grow market presence in North Carolina through marketing and business development Manage and deliver construction management and inspection contracts in assigned areas Maintain/build client relationships with NCDOT and other Municipal and County clients Recruit, retain, and train Construction Management/Inspection staff Support the growth of the company's Design Build and P3 services as it relates to construction management Conduct Project QA/QC on projects in assigned business areas Assist bridge/highway design disciplines with constructability questions/issues Attend monthly Regional/Branch management meetings to report on construction management issues and opportunities Work closely with JMT’s Corporate CM/CEI discipline leader Coordinate strategic growth with office leaders and practice leaders Manage financial budget for North Carolina CM/CEI and allocate resources accordingly Lead and contribute to the production of proposals Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff Establish resources and staffing needs for North Carolina Interview and make recommendations for hiring staff for North Carolina Required Skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production environment Capable of building successful team relationships with a foundation of trust and respect Ability to motivate and inspire others Demonstrate organized practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter with full ability to operate independently with substantial autonomy Proficient in Microsoft Office Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program Professional engineer license in North Carolina or equivalent 15+ years in the CM/CI field providing services to DOT clients Supervisory, project management, and business development experience Demonstrated experience leading others Past construction management and inspection experience with NCDOT, FHWA or local municipalities Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Travel to offices in North Carolina monthly will be required to meet with staff. Job Competencies
