The Opportunity:
The Data Analyst is responsible for providing analytics, data sourcing, and creating code in support of the Account Recovery department.
What You Will Do:
Perform data mining/code management using state-of-the-art methods and assist with prescriptive analysis related to collections and loss rate performance.
Assist with developing predictive models of customer value, behavior, and responsiveness based on various business activities related to supply chain metrics.
Analyze business activities and present results and recommendations to enhance operational strategies for awareness, effectiveness, and overall financial benefit.
Assist with creating and maintaining meaningful and actionable reports/dashboards for business.
Understand underlying business challenges across the organization and communicate accurate data insights that enable confident, effective decision making.
Monitor daily/weekly/monthly metrics and alert business leaders to issues and trends.
Maintain relationships with the IT and Finance teams to assure data accuracy and integrity.
Recognize and communicate financial implications of business decisions and strategy.
The Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Finance or related field.
1-2 years of data/business analysis and data mining experience.
Minimum of 1 year of extensive experience coding with SAS and SQL.
Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as R, Python, Access, etc.
Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Advanced Analytic Techniques: Knowledge of advanced quantitative analytic techniques and protocols used to build necessary business models.
Experience working with cross-functional teams to build consensus and project plans.
Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data and/or functions into actionable information.
Demonstrated applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Preferred Skills:
Financial services and/or E-commerce experience.
Experience with cash management/forecasting.
Experience with high-volume consumer lending platforms.
Experience with Oracle Financials.
Experience with Voluntary Benefits Administration.
