Data Analytics Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Data and Analytics team within Supply Chain Management plays a critical role in a variety of strategic and impactful projects across Power Generation, Power Delivery, and Enterprise Services by providing data-driven and analytic support across company-wide inventory, materials, and services categories. This analyst position will use fact-based analytics and historical data, projected future demand, and market intelligence to empower business stakeholders through strategic recommendations and actionable insights for defined categories of spend in support of our Category Management efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or other relevant analytical/scientific fields or equivalent work experience preferred Advanced degree is a plus Experience

3+ years of experience in data analytics (#dataanalytics) Advanced statistical and predictive modeling experience Strong analytic skills with demonstrated work experience in data mining, coding, and other analytical concepts (i.e. multivariate regression, clustering, segmentation, time series, decision trees, etc.) Experience in demand forecasting techniques and interactive data visualization development to effectively communicate performance variables, market drivers and impact on the business Advanced knowledge in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, VBA, macro creation) and applications within MS Office Suite Coding/Programming and analytical proficiency in SQL, R and/or Python, SAS. Advanced data visualization proficiency in Tableau and/or Power BI (#businessintelligence) Experience worthing with Alteryx or similar workflow management tools is a plus Experience working cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization Executive-level presentation skill, as well as effective verbal and written communication of complex analytical concepts Supply Chain Management or procurement knowledge/experience a plus Knowledge and Skills

High level of ownership and self-motivated to deliver high-quality outcomes Possess advanced skills in Financial Analysis, Internal Enterprise Analysis, Marketplace Analysis, and Benchmarking Strategic thinker that can interpret details into actionable insights and communicate the business impact Data extraction and data mining from internal and external systems Possess at least intermediate level of skills in Strategy Development, Strategy Execution, Project Management, Relationship Building and Influencing, Communication, Presentation, Team Building, Cultural Awareness, Change Management, and Process Improvement Possess a minimum level of basic skills in Competitive Bidding, Negotiation, Commercial Agreements, Inventory Management, Supplier Relationship Management, and Facilitation Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders Proven ability and determination to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Create, enhance, and deploy statistical and analytical models using both structured and unstructured data to inform growth decisions and strategies across Supply Chain Management Provide advanced analytical support and appropriate data to assist category groups in strategy development and cost optimization Forecast short and long-term demand and target growth sectors and opportunities through advanced, repeatable, and deployable predictive models Design complex and large-scale datasets to be used for statistical modeling and data mining and formulate actionable insights Identify underutilized data sources across the organization and leverage those resources to reduce duplicative efforts Understand trends in market and providing sophisticated analysis to inform the sourcing strategies Engage with the category leads on an on-going basis to understand the strategic direction and areas of opportunity/risk for categories Create and distribute reports with key competitive analysis, and industry best practices Identify high impact/risk enterprise commodity and category inputs/factors; Understand market intelligence gaps for those areas and develop new efforts to meet sourcing needs Be a change agent using data supported recommendations to category leads to implement best practices and process improvement Travel Requirements
