Summary

Provides superior day-to-day recruitment actives for the organization; assisting to deliver exceptional business results. This role drives recruiting processes, advises managers on best practices, and portrays the core values of Mille Lacs Health System through the manner in which they conduct themselves. Understands service line business and works closely with leadership to identify issues and develop solutions. Implements best practices and supports the delivery of HR processes for the service lines. Remains current on laws and regulations effecting employment practices. Job Duties

  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; monitors career-pathing program and spearheads sourcing of candidates on social media platform.
  • Source active and passive candidates by using job services offices, job boards, career fairs, recruiting events, campus recruiting, or other traditional and non-traditional means to maintain candidate pool.
  • Partners with HR Manager to execute all components of the compensation process, including candidate offer calculation based on job market and internal equity, offer presentation, and salary negotiation.
  • Applies for, and administers, the annual SHCIP Grant and DualPipeline programs; ensuring the best candidates are selected, to enhance the growth and services of MLHS.
  • Leads student onboarding, orientation, and MERC Grant and Rural Loan Forgiveness programs.
  • Partners with HR Manager to ensure Tuition Reimbursement program is running effectively.
  • Monitors and enhances the affirmative action plan; maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Partners with HR Manager and CAO in developing department goals, objectives, and systems for staff and Leaders.
  • Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and learning seminars; participates in the Wellness Committee, as a key contributor to the committee's success.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Provides backup support for Benefits and Leave of Absence.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Management or related field of study.
  • Must have 1-3 years of direct HR experience as a generalist or recruiter.
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years of human resource experience in a healthcare system

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Typically, Monday through Friday 8-4:30.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
