Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Restaurant Events & Banquet Sales Manager to spearhead business development efforts for our events and banquet division. The successful candidate will focus on driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, building key relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve aggressive revenue growth targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate events, conferences, weddings, and social gatherings.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, meeting planners, and event coordinators.
Conduct sales calls, site visits, and presentations to prospective clients.
Sales and Revenue Growth
Prospect and secure new events and banquet bookings, focusing on high-value clients and repeat business.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize revenue and profitability.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop customized menus and packages.
Market Research and Analysis
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Analyze sales data and market intelligence to inform sales strategies.
Relationship Building
Foster strong relationships with local event planners, meeting professionals, and industry partners.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the restaurant and build network.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with event coordinators, chefs, and operations staff to ensure seamless event execution.
Provide sales support and guidance to event coordinators and other team members.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting
Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
Provide regular sales updates and insights to senior management.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in event sales, catering, or hospitality management, with a proven track record of business development success.
Experience working with CRM software, event management tools, and sales analytics platforms.
Skills
Proven sales and negotiation skills, with ability to close deals and meet revenue targets.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinker with ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Event Planner (CEP) or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation.
Familiarity with local event market and vendor network.
Experience with sales and event management software, such as Tripleseat, Eventbrite, or Catering software.
