General CounselPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to oversee our legal department and manage all legal matters for our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in various areas of law, including blockchain technology, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring that our business operations adhere to legal standards and mitigate any potential risks.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice and guidance to the executive team and other departmentsDraft, review, and negotiate contracts including partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and licensing agreementsOversee all litigation matters and collaborate with outside counsel as neededEnsure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including AML and data privacy lawsManage intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrightsDevelop and implement legal policies and procedures to minimize riskConduct training and seminars on legal topics for staffMonitor changes in legislation and advise the organization accordinglyAssist in the development of company policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsQualificationsJurisdictions law degree (JD) from an accredited institutionLicensed to practice law in relevant jurisdictions10+ years of legal experience, with a focus on corporate law, regulatory compliance, and intellectual propertyStrong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and related legal frameworksExperience in litigation and regulatory compliance litigationProven ability to manage complex legal projects and multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsBenefitsCompetitive compensation package.RemoteHealth BenefitsPTO & 401kProfessional development and continuous learning opportunities.
