Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Legal Litigation Assistant to join a reputable law firm in Connecticut. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in litigation support. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with various tasks, ensuring efficient and effective legal operations.
- Answering and screening telephone calls, taking messages for attorneys.
- Editing, revising, and redlining documents.
- Assisting with document conversion and cleanup.
- Profiling emails and documents to iManage.
- Drafting appearances and e-filing in federal, state, CHRO, and FOIC courts.
- E-filing in Connecticut State, Federal, and Appellate courts, including the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and Southern District of New York.
- Handling short calendar markings as instructed.
- Completing intake forms and drafting outlines of decisions in school expulsion matters.
- Compiling binders for contract negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Entering and updating School Law Contracts when executed.
- Updating School Law Resources, Wage, and Comparison Reports.
- Profiling monthly CCM Data Reporter and emailing as directed.
- Entering and editing attorney time entries.
- Submitting requests for conflicts checks and completing New Matter Reports for signature and approval.
- Filling out expense reports.
- Preparing outgoing mail and sorting incoming mail.
- Filing and keeping all attorney client files updated and complete, as well as completing documentation for closing files for offsite storage/archive.
- Available to work Monday through Friday.
Monday - Friday
Competitive salary range of $70,000-$80,000 with comprehensive benefits package.
