Based in Lexington, KY, you'll work alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers, designers and project managers. The position reports to a professional (licensed) Electrical Engineer. The environment is one of challenge, collaboration, and client focus, with regular staff education and social activities opportunities. As an entry level engineer, you will provide engineering support for projects for natural gas pipelines, facilities, liquids transmission, gathering, midstream and treatment. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Designing industrial power systems, controls, measurement, and instrumentation systems and similar related systems Performing calculations for voltage drop, fault currents, lighting analysis Learning about grounding, lightning, and other life safety systems Preparingconstruction documents for industrial petrochemical and natural gas facilities using AutoCAD Documenting the construction of programmable logic controllers, remote terminal units, and communications systems Obtaining electrical, controls and instrumentation information on existing and newly constructed facilities during site visits Learning safety related to our business including electrical safety procedures Supportingcompanygoals and representingthe company positively and professionally. To be considered for this entry level position, you must meet the following criteria: Bachelor ofScience degreein Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program Possess an engineering education suitable for future licensure as a professional engineer Internships within the consulting engineering industry preferred but not required A strong desire to be part of a cohesive team A genuine interest in engineering design related to Electrical Engineering Strong interpersonal skills Effective oral and written communication skills and a self-starter EIT Preferred but not required (Required within the first year of employment) Familiar with AutoCAD software is preferred Must be open to travel at select times to perform site visits A pre-employment drug screen is also required Our teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in.
