LHH is looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Accounting Assistant to provide support to our accounting team. The Accounting Assistant will help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations by handling data entry, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reporting tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.

  • Enter and verify financial data into accounting systems.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

  • Support payroll preparation and expense tracking.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closings.

  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding financial matters.

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining spreadsheets.

  • Assist in audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices.

Compensation: $25-$28/hour DOE
