LHH is looking for a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounting team. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and verify financial transactions in accordance with company policies.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and collections.

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining accounting records.

  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial documents or reports.

  • Support payroll processing and employee expense reporting.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data and adhere to all regulatory requirements.

  • Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting or clerical role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

 

Compensation: $25-$28/hour DOE
