A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Glendale, CA. This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of personal injury cases, from drafting motions and pleadings to trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research and writing abilities, a solid understanding of California law, and the ability to manage litigation cases efficiently. Duties
Draft and respond to legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery responses, and motions for summary judgment. Prepare clear, concise memoranda with legal recommendations for the firm. Argue motions, including motions to strike, compel responses, consolidate, dismiss, amend, and vacate. Handle litigation tasks from filing pleadings to managing discovery and motions. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practices and operational improvements. Communicate directly with clients, discussing case strategies, options, and solutions. Maintain organized records of cases and projects to ensure timely and effective completion. Assist in evaluating case progress and outcomes, offering insights to support client decisions. Requirements
Law degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation. Strong persuasive writing and analytical skills, with the ability to perform under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Experience drafting briefs, responding to discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and motion work. Prior experience with trial preparation is a plus but not required. Familiarity with California law and legal practices, rules, and procedures. Strong legal research and writing skills, including the proper use of citations and formats. Active California State Bar membership (required). Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Skills
