Linux engineer accustomed to working closely with development and QA teams during the development, deployment, and support of in-house built applications. Also experienced with the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of COTS (commercial off the shelf) applications, such as accounting systems or document management systems. Must be collaborative with the ability to participate in system architecture, integration, and documentation processes. Ability to produce implementation/change management plans, concise documentation, diagrams, KB articles, and FAQs. Candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring server builds, package and application deploys, and updates. Strong system and application debug and tuning skills. Experience provisioning Linux servers in physical, virtual, and containerized environments. Networking, packet capture/analysis, firewall, route, and switch experience is a plus. Service monitor and alert development and implementation. Respond to, triage, and remediate system alerts. Perform routine system maintenance and participate in on-call rotation.
