Job Description Linux engineer accustomed to working closely with development and qa teams during the development,

deployment and support of in-house built applications. Also experienced with the installation,

maintenance and upgrade of COTS (commercial off the shelf) applications. An example might be an

accounting system or a document management system. Must be collaborative with ability to participate

in system architecture, integration and documentation process. Ability to produce

implementation/change management plans, concise documentation, diagrams, KB articles and FAQs.

Candidate thrives in a fast paced environment requiring server build, package and application deploys

and updates. Strong system and application debug and tuning skills. Experience provisioning linux

servers in physical, virtual and containerized environments. Networking, packet capture/analysis,

firewall, route, switch experience is a plus. Service monitor and alert development and implementation.

Respond to, triage and remediate system alerts. Perform routine system maintenance and participate in

on-call rotation.

Technical Experience in the following areas

OS: RedHat/CentOS/RockyLinux/Debian required - system deploy (container/vm/physical), hardening,

firewall-cmd/iptables, patching (yum/dnf, SpaceWalk/Uyuni), compile and build package from source,

user management, sudoers

Packages: Bind, OpenLDAP, freeRadius, Sendmail, SNMP, NRPE, OCSInv, Samba, NFS, PAM, SSSD,

Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, Jetty, Java, Solr, OpenSSL, Let's Encrypt, ssh, rsync, syslog/rsyslog, logrotate,

Virtualization: QEMU/KVM, ProxMox, Docker, K8s

Storage & File Services: LVM, ZFS, NFS, Samba
