Director of Human Resources – Prinsco

Prinsco, a leader in manufacturing and distributionin plastic water management products, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to join our team. This key leadership position is slated to transition into a long-term opportunity following an anticipated retirement. As Director of HR, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting our growing workforce across 20 locations nationwide while leading an HR team of 12 professionals. You will work closely with senior leadership, guiding HR operations and initiatives to foster an environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing HR team, ensuring each team member is positioned for success. Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to cultivate professional growth and operational excellence. Collaborate with the Corporate HR Manager to develop and execute HR programs that align with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Talent Engagement & Recruitment: Drive team member engagement initiatives, working toward becoming an Employer of Choice. Partner with management and talent acquisition to identify workforce needs, ensuring alignment between job requirements and skilled candidate recruitment.
  • Safety & Performance Culture: Champion a safety-first culture across all locations, collaborating with managers to reinforce safety protocols and best practices. Lead the performance management process, including succession planning and management calibration meetings, to ensure high standards of accountability and growth.
  • Employee Relations & Coaching: Provide expert coaching and advice to both managers and HR team members on employment-related matters, addressing performance and behavioral concerns with a focus on resolution and development.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Professional certifications such as HRCI, SPHR, or SHRM are highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of HR experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics is essential.
  • Leadership & Influence: Strong ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual Skills: Bilingual in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is preferred, though not required.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to analyze data to draw sound conclusions and make effective recommendations.
  • Professional Presence: A confident, professional demeanor with the ability to present and engage effectively in both formal and informal settings.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as needed.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: A strong ethical foundation with the ability to maintain confidentiality and act with fiscal responsibility.
