Accountant

Our client, a world-class educational institution, is looking for an accountant. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate must be immediately available to start a new role. Client Details Well known educational institution based in Upper Manhattan. This role offers hybrid flexibility and potential for FTE within 6 weeks. Description This role will involve: Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and fixed assets. Develop and manage accounting projects, ensuring timely delivery. Work independently to identify, gather, and use necessary resources and information to execute assigned tasks. Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational procedures. Ensure proper accounting of transactions in compliance with Zeta accounting standards. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned. Profile The successful candidate will have: ● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. ● Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting. ● Ability to take initiative and work independently to solve problems and meet deadlines. ● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. ● Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus. ● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. ● Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
