Job Description
Omni Underground Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with specialized experience in directional drilling operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment, ensuring safe and efficient installation of underground utilities.
Compensation:$28 - $36 hourly
Responsibilities:- Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities.
- Interpret project plans and blueprints to determine drilling parameters.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and regular maintenance of drilling equipment.
- Monitor and adjust drilling parameters to maintain bore path accuracy.
- Collaborate with the site supervisor and crew to ensure project specifications are met.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating directional drilling equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of underground utility installation practices.
- Valid CDL-A license (A MUST HAVE).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
