Job Overview:

A prominent labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel attorney for its San Francisco, CA office. The role involves managing and defending employment-related litigation, providing counsel to employers, and representing clients in a variety of legal settings. This position offers an opportunity to engage in high-level legal work with a focus on complex employment law issues.

Location:

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various labor and employment law matters.
  • Represent employers in:
    • Court and arbitration.
    • Administrative agency proceedings.
    • Mediations for employment matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, and non-compete cases.
  • Handle class/collective actions and PAGA cases (experience preferred but not required).

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in employment litigation with significant first-chair experience managing cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal agency procedures.
  • Supervisory experience, including delegating assignments and providing feedback to associates and paralegals.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
