A prominent labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel attorney for its San Francisco, CA office. The role involves managing and defending employment-related litigation, providing counsel to employers, and representing clients in a variety of legal settings. This position offers an opportunity to engage in high-level legal work with a focus on complex employment law issues. Location:
Duties:
Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges. Advise, counsel, and train employers on various labor and employment law matters. Represent employers in:
Court and arbitration. Administrative agency proceedings. Mediations for employment matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, and non-compete cases.
Handle class/collective actions and PAGA cases (experience preferred but not required). Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Minimum of 9 years of experience in employment litigation with significant first-chair experience managing cases. In-depth knowledge of state and federal agency procedures. Supervisory experience, including delegating assignments and providing feedback to associates and paralegals. Certifications:
Active California State Bar membership in good standing. Skills:
Expertise in employment litigation and legal counsel. Strong written and oral communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and collegiality.
