Duties

1. Represent healthcare providers in various litigation matters, including Medi-Cal and Medicare reimbursement issues, audits, regulatory compliance, and medical staff disputes.
2. Handle both litigation and arbitration to ensure healthcare providers receive fair payment for their services.
3. Support healthcare providers and trade associations through advocacy, including legislative matters and lobbying efforts.
4. Provide legal counsel on administrative law and constitutional matters as they relate to healthcare.
5. Engage in both complex litigation and transactional support for healthcare entities.
6. Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

1. 3-5 years of experience in healthcare litigation, including federal and California state cases.
2. Strong legal writing skills with the ability to prepare motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
3. Knowledge of administrative and constitutional law, especially in the healthcare context, is highly desirable.
4. Ability to handle complex legal matters and manage a variety of cases.
5. Self-starter with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a remote team.

Education

1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
