Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Renton, Washington.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: 01/20/2025Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hoursEmployment Type: Travel Job ID #15627088\n\nGuaranteed Hours\n36 hours per week\nYears of Experience\n2 Years\n\nRequired Certifications\nBLS, NIHSS, Valley Medical Center CEUs for Units Requiring NIHSS\n\nUnit Notes\n# of beds: 30, all private\nRatios: 1:4-5 both days and nights\nRequired certifications: BLS, NIHSS\nCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Elective total joints, spines and overflow general surgery.\nExperience or 'Must have' skills: Would prefer 2 years in similar patient population\nAre RNs required to titrate drips?: No\nCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin per protocol\nCharge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse, outside of staffing\nAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, PCA's, 1:8-15 depending on staffing. PCA's are all trained to do phlebotomy.\nRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Cpap, NC\nIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Tele monitoring with monitor techs. Not required to read strips but they do need to be able to recognize lethal rhythms and respond appropriately.\nShifts & Scheduling: 7-7 for both AM and PM. Travelers will fill holes.\nWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend.\nHoliday Requirement: No\nIs there a call or standby requirement?: No call time, may be put on standby if scheduled and not needed.\nFloating Requirements: Travelers are first to float - may float to the other surgical units or other medsurg units. Rare need for team nursing in Covid Medical unit.\nScrub Color/Dress Code:
