Summit Medical Staffing Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Houston, Texas.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: CVICUDiscipline: RNStart Date: 01/20/2025Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: Travel Minimal "extras" were built into this package in order to maximize weekly pay to the best of my ability - we can discuss what this means upon connecting.\n\nDetails as posted by Facility/VMS:\nRN's need to be open to Floating!\nBusy/Large Level 1 Trauma\nCandidates need to be flexible on scheduling\nEOW\nEPIC required\nSuccessful placements here have 3+ years exp, pervious travel exp. and have worked in a very busy hospital in the past.\nDaily Parking is $15+/day. Multiple options for on/off campus garages and lots ranging from $95 - $120 with monthly pass.\nUnit Details\n# of beds 8A-12 beds and 8B-13 beds high acuity unit\nRatios 1:2 and occasionally 1:1\nRequired Certifications Experienced ICU RN's\nCommon diagnoses/Types of patients Heart. Lumg Transplants, LVAD patients in C8A, ACB and Valve surgeries in C8B\nExperience or 'Must have' skills: CRRT trained\nAre RNs required to titrate drips yes\nCommon titratable &/or set rate drips All vasoactive drips for cardiac patients\nCharge Nurse/House Supervisor Unit has charge RN that has patients most of the time\nAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios 1 PCA on the floor\nHospitalist or Intensivist in house Intensivist model\nRT in ICU 24/7 RT assigned to unit\nRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) any equipment that is managed by an RT\nIs there tele on this unit Monitor Techs RNs read strips Hardwire monitoring\nShifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts, self scheduling to balance needs\nWeekend Requirement 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks schedules\nHoliday Requirement any they are willing to work\nIs there a call or standby requirement no\nFloating Requirements First to float out depending on competency\nScrub Color/Dress Code teal scrubs\nUnit/Department specific orientation 2-3 shifts with preceptors\nAdditional Notes Devices these units see are LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, IABPAbout Summit Medical Staffing Nursing
