The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of MEP projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design coordination to project closeout.

The client is a dynamic and rapidly growing mechanical contracting company based in Central New Jersey, specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for commercial and industrial projects. They are known for delivering innovative, high-quality, and timely solutions to their clients. Due to expanding project demands, they are looking for a dedicated and experienced MEP Project Manager to join their team and lead their projects to success.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the planning, design, and execution of MEP projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
- Monitor and track the progress of projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Lead, manage, and mentor project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Review and approve project submittals, change orders, and invoices.
- Conduct site visits to ensure proper installation and quality control.
- Provide regular project status updates to clients, senior management, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure proper documentation for project closeout and warranty periods.
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing MEP projects in the commercial construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, schedules, budgets, and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of New Jersey building codes and industry standards.
