We let our personalities shine and we like to have fun. Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Director of Catering/Conference Services Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the smooth operation of the conference services and catering department, ensuring exceptional service to guests, maximizing revenue, and maintaining high standards of excellence. This is a leadership role responsible for managing team members, maintaining operational efficiency, and meeting guest needs through both internal coordination and external client relations. Key Responsibilities: Client Management & Business Development
Handle inquiry calls, respond to inquiries, and manage client appointments, ensuring timely and professional communication. Actively solicit and secure business according to hotel standards and goals. Conduct site inspections and walk-ins, providing detailed information to prospective clients. Book appointments, manage calendars, and maintain client files with up-to-date information. Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and generate re-bookings.
Team Leadership & Operations Management
Supervise, direct, and monitor the performance of the Conference Services, Catering and Banquet staff, ensuring that all hotel policies and procedures are adhered to. Organize weekly meetings with Conference Service, Banquets and Catering teams to review schedules, priorities, and current bookings. Maintain positive guest relations and handle complaints swiftly to ensure guest satisfaction. Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Prepare weekly work schedules for staff and ensure the adherence to labor forecasts and scheduling guidelines. Foster a cooperative and productive work environment.
Event Planning & Coordination
Review and sign off on all catering contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and ensure they are distributed to appropriate departments. Ensure that Catering and Baquet team is familiar with service standards, pricing, policies, and procedures related to event bookings, including guarantees, cancellations, and payment terms. Monitor Banquet Event Orders, estimated guarantees, and event changes, ensuring proper communication with all departments involved. Oversee event sheet preparation and distribution, ensuring that information is accurate and timely.
Revenue Management & Reporting
Track revenue against budgets, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and resolving any discrepancies with accounting. Review banquet checks, monitor lost business, and ensure the efficient management of function space to maximize profitability. Prepare monthly and annual catering marketing plans and coordinate social media initiatives with the Regional Marketing Manager.
Administrative & Budget Responsibilities
Prepare and submit daily/weekly payroll records and monitor staff attendance. Review catering, banquets and conference service budget/forecast, adjusting as necessary. Maintain departmental manuals and ensure that all team members are well-versed in policies and procedures.

Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proven experience in staff leadership, training, and performance management.
