Independence Plus is now hiring a full-time Healthcare Recruiting and Scheduling Manager. This position will be based out of our Oak Brook, IL (DuPage County) office and reports to the Vice President of Patient and Employee Relations. Full benefits available; PTO, medical, dental, vision coverage and 401(k) plan.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Recruiting and Scheduling Manager leads, manages, and is accountable for the success of the Healthcare Scheduling Liaison (“HCL”) operations for Skilled Home Nursing (private duty) and Home Health services. The basic function of this position is to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary administrative team in order to provide leadership, modeling, and accountability for the effective scheduling of the company’s field nurses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Works in the corporate office and directly supervises, trains, and evaluates Scheduling and Recruiting Liaisons.

· Appreciates the Company’s vision of providing exemplary care and services for people at home with complex medical and respiratory needs.

· Provides quality customer service and develops collaborative relationships with patients, their families, field nurses, and a multi-disciplinary administrative leadership team

· Ensures successful staffing and recruiting of nurses for current and newly admitted patients

· Develops and maintains employee morale in the department and the field

· Participates in administrative on-call and, when necessary, primary on-call

· Manages monthly schedules and reviews weekly fill ratios, overtime hours, and profit margins

· Identifies and follows up on problems to be addressed within the department and referred to a multi-disciplinary leadership team

· Develops, implements, and evaluates short- and long-term goals, policies, procedures, documentation requirements, contests, prizes/rewards, and staff development for the department

· Maintains patient and IPI confidentiality at all times and respects patient’s rights and responsibilities

· Demonstrates good communication, public relation, and organizational skills

· Promotes Home Health, Home Nursing and Respiratory/HME referrals

· Complies with agency, state, federal, and CHAP policies and procedures

· Maintains caseload as necessary

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience

· Minimum three years of management experience

· Leads team using education and motivation

· Skillful listening and negotiation skills with nurses, patients, and families

· Innovative thinker and collaborative professional who adapts well to changes within an expanding healthcare business

· Exhibits values of service, integrity, and reverence

· Possesses a functional level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and KanTime
