What You'll Do:
* Provide Compassionate Care: Deliver basic life support and transport services for non-emergency and emergency patients, ensuring their safety and comfort. * Continuous Learning: Take charge of your personal development and education to stay at the forefront of emergency medical care. * Maintain Excellence: Keep our vehicles and equipment in top condition through regular cleaning, checks, and maintenance reporting. * Be a SH Service Excellence Ambassador: Greet everyone with a smile, treat all with respect and dignity, and embody our C.A.R.E. values in every interaction. * Patient Assessment and Care: Perform thorough patient assessments and provide care for all age groups, following established standards and policies. * Effective Communication: Coordinate with the Lycoming County Communications Center and other Fire/EMS units using UHF, VHF, and cellular phones. * Commit to Safety: Uphold high standards of safety, identify and address potential risks, and encourage patient and family involvement in safety processes. * Emergency Response: Perform automatic external defibrillation and assist with restraining combative patients when necessary. * Detailed Documentation: Complete patient records and state charts accurately, providing clear narratives of patient conditions. * Versatile Transport Services: Provide local, regional, and out-of-state transport for emergency and non-emergency patients, including special needs patients. * Operate Vehicles Safely: Drive emergency vehicles, ambulances, and vans under various conditions, adhering to safety regulations. * Support Functions: Restock supplies, maintain inventory, and transport equipment and specimens as needed.
Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. * Experience: Previous ambulance and/or hospital experience preferred. * Licensure and Certifications: * Valid Driver's License * EMT Certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania * Completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) within 90 days of hire * AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers
