Premises Liability Paralegal Silver Law Group based in midtown Manhattan is looking for a Paralegal with a premises background to join the team. We are looking to bring on a Premises Liability Paralegal that can continue to develop and grow from within and take on future leadership opportunities as the firm continues to scale. Job Description: Manage case files from inception to resolution, ensuring all documentation is organized and up to date. Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and experts, and keep clients informed about case progress. Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, including gathering evidence (e.g., photographs, accident reports, security footage). Interview witnesses and victims to collect statements. Research property history, maintenance records, and past incidents to support claims. Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions. Prepare demand letters and settlement offers for insurance companies or opposing parties. Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, releases, and settlement agreements. Manage discovery, including gathering and organizing medical records, maintenance logs, and other pertinent documents. Draft and respond to discovery requests such as interrogatories and requests for the production of documents. Assist in preparing depositions by organizing exhibits and preparing witnesses. Conduct legal research on premises liability laws, statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to the jurisdiction. Stay updated on changes in local, state, or federal laws affecting premises liability cases. Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Coordinate logistics for trial, including filing documents with the court and serving subpoenas. Support attorneys during trial by organizing evidence, taking notes, and managing trial documents. Qualifications: Able to be in the office 5 days/week; Paralegal Certificate (optional); Must have at least 7 years of experience with a Personal Injury Law firm; Must have at least 3 years of Premise Liability experience ; Worker's Compensation experience (optional); Surrogate Court experience (optional); Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Adobe, and familiarity with and/or willingness to learn other platforms and databases; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Excellent time management skills; Bilingual: Spanish or Russian (optional) Excellent Computer and Phone Skills; Organized and Self-Motivated.
