Savvy, enthusiastic, results-driven sales pro sought to join our fun and fast-paced team as Venue Sales Associate immediately RGI events is an award-winning special events production firm and design atelier providing 360-degree strategic services for discerning clients around the world. In addition to our powerhouse production services, we own/operate and operate/manage multiple award-winning, high-volume special event venues in the Mid-Atlantic , under an ever expanding umbrella. Our venues are celebrations of a sense of place, focused on experience and inviting guests to live in the moment. This position services The Grand – a historic architectural gem in downtown Baltimore re-launching in 2025 as a premier special events venue offering diverse, sophisticated and customizable space for weddings, corporate events, conferences, and private parties. Starting Salary is $70 - $76,000/year depending on prior demonstrated success, experience and qualifications, with an aggressive additional commission and bonus structure averaging an additional $40-50k per year. Day to day you will be… Driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with clients. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and post-event follow-up. The ideal candidate will have a passion for events, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of success in sales. Everyday is exciting - every day is different - every day is full of creative opportunities Key Roles: Lead Generation & Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and other special events. Build and maintain relationships with event planners, corporations, community organizations, and potential clients. Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. Create and deliver customized proposals to clients, ensuring alignment with their event needs and budget. Client Consultations & Site Tours: Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective clients to understand their event requirements and showcase venue offerings. Lead engaging and informative site tours of the venue, highlighting its features and capabilities. Contract Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts and pricing, ensuring all terms are clear and beneficial to both the venue and the client. Close sales and secure event bookings, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Event Coordination Collaboration: Work closely with the event planning and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of booked events. Communicate client expectations and ensure alignment with venue capabilities. Market Research & Trend Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market demands to ensure competitive pricing and services. Participate in networking events, industry trade shows, and local community events to build the venue’s presence. CRM & Reporting: Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage client relationships, and report on sales performance. Provide regular updates and reports on sales targets, pipelines, and key performance metrics. Key Qualifications Proven experience (3-5 years) in sales, preferably in the event planning, hospitality, or venue management industry. Strong understanding of the special events industry, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations. · Elite time management, problem solving and organizational skills · Well-connected across a range of corporate and social communities and networks, being on top of all current lifestyle and modern hospitality trends Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
