Solar Civil Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be integral to the civil engineering and design of solar projects, taking them from initial concepts to final implementation. You will manage both internal and external resources to ensure that designs are efficient, practical, and compliant with industry standards, all while effectively communicating project details to the construction teams, clients, and senior management. This position will require a strong understanding of civil and mechanical considerations in PV (photovoltaic) systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent project management and communication skills to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Qualifications: Educational background or industry experience in civil or mechanical engineering Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; CAD expertise required Strong skills in Microsoft Excel Interest in renewable energy and sustainability Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Effective communication skills Proven experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams Responsibilities: Design PV system layouts and produce construction-quality drawings (site plans, civil design, installation details, etc.). Use Civil 3D software to create efficient grading models for solar projects. Develop staking plans for surveyors to mark key civil and electrical features on-site. Conduct on-site evaluations of civil work to assess progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications. Prepare tree clearing and site preparation plans. Review third-party civil engineering documents to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards. Develop and refine optimization tools to improve system designs. Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction personnel, to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Stay informed on the latest advancements in civil engineering and solar industry best practices.
