Description :

• We are seeking a motivated individual for the position of Civil Design Engineer to be an integral part of a knowledgeable and experienced team and be involved in all civil-related aspects of solar project design and engineering and will see projects from conceptual design to final completion.
• Performing and managing internal and external resources for engineering and design for efficient and practical PV systems and communicating the design effectively to the construction team, customer, and senior management.
• Responsible for creating grading models, staking plans, and landscaping plans based on value engineering and compliance with industry standards as well as customer specifications.
• Will be tasked with taking initial designs and enhancing them through iterative processes to achieve a comprehensive, value-engineered design that is optimized for customer value.
• Overseeing the entire design lifecycle, from conception to finalization, and ensuring that each iteration reflects the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation.
• Will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of project designs, leveraging his/her expertise to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to deliver results.
• Through effective leadership, collaboration, and strategic decision-making, the Civil Design Engineer will contribute to the successful execution of projects and the continued growth and success of the organization.
• Travel 25% - 50%
• Execute the design of PV systems and produce construction quality drawings (physical layout, civil design, installation details, etc.).
• Utilize Civil 3D software to create functional and efficient grading models for PV systems.
• Create staking plans for surveyors to mark important civil and electrical layout features to communicate design to on-site installers.
• Conduct on-site evaluations of civil work to assess progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Prepare tree clearing and grubbing plans to ensure efficient site preparation.
• Review third-party civil engineering documents for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Create and improve existing optimization tools to assist system design.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and advancements in civil engineering technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's (Required)
• Educational background or industry experience in civil or mechanical engineering
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred; CAD expertise required
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• You must have the experience required.
• Interest in sustainability and solar energy
• High level of attention to detail, time management, and organization
• Good communication skills
• Proven experience with multi-disciplinary engineering
