Description :
- We are seeking a motivated individual for the position of Civil Design Engineer to be an integral part of a knowledgeable and experienced team and be involved in all civil-related aspects of solar project design and engineering and will see projects from conceptual design to final completion.
- Performing and managing internal and external resources for engineering and design for efficient and practical PV systems and communicating the design effectively to the construction team, customer, and senior management.
- Responsible for creating grading models, staking plans, and landscaping plans based on value engineering and compliance with industry standards as well as customer specifications.
- Will be tasked with taking initial designs and enhancing them through iterative processes to achieve a comprehensive, value-engineered design that is optimized for customer value.
- Overseeing the entire design lifecycle, from conception to finalization, and ensuring that each iteration reflects the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation.
- Will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of project designs, leveraging his/her expertise to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to deliver results.
- Through effective leadership, collaboration, and strategic decision-making, the Civil Design Engineer will contribute to the successful execution of projects and the continued growth and success of the organization.
- Travel 25% - 50%
- Execute the design of PV systems and produce construction quality drawings (physical layout, civil design, installation details, etc.).
- Utilize Civil 3D software to create functional and efficient grading models for PV systems.
- Create staking plans for surveyors to mark important civil and electrical layout features to communicate design to on-site installers.
- Conduct on-site evaluations of civil work to assess progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare tree clearing and grubbing plans to ensure efficient site preparation.
- Review third-party civil engineering documents for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Create and improve existing optimization tools to assist system design.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and advancements in civil engineering technology.
- Bachelor's (Required)
- Educational background or industry experience in civil or mechanical engineering
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred; CAD expertise required
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- You must have the experience required.
- Interest in sustainability and solar energy
- High level of attention to detail, time management, and organization
- Good communication skills
- Proven experience with multi-disciplinary engineering
