Associate Director of Engineering Position Overview The Associate Director of Engineering will oversee engineering operations and ensure the successful execution of projects within the electrical engineering domain. This role involves leading a team of engineers, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers to achieve project goals and deadlines. Design and review electrical systems including power distribution, fire alarm systems, and grounding. Conduct coordination studies and arc flash studies to ensure safety and compliance with the National Electrical Code and other relevant standards. Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on healthcare and aviation projects, providing technical consulting as needed. Ensure adherence to building codes, NFPA codes, and energy codes throughout the project lifecycle. Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for the design and documentation of electrical systems. Prepare and present project proposals and updates to stakeholders and clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required. Minimum of 10 years experience in Electrical Design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination/arc flash studies Experience with lighting and power distribution systems design. Familiarity with National Electrical Code, NFPA Codes, and other relevant building codes. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, with experience mentoring junior engineers. LEED AP Certification is a plus. Ability to self-motivate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
