Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University
Postdoctoral Researcher
Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, United States
A postdoctoral position is available in the Spangle Laboratory in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University School of Medicine. The Spangle lab investigates chromatin-based mechanisms of cancer development, progression, and therapeutic resistance (https://med.emory.edu/departments/radiation-oncology/research-laboratories/jennifer-spangle/index.html). Current projects employ molecular and cell biology, bioinformatics, and in vivo models to mechanistically address how growth factor signaling pathways regulate chromatin biology with the aim of identifying therapeutically actionable targets in breast cancers. The ideal candidate for this position is highly motivated and should have a Ph.D., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees with strong experience in chromatin biology and/or molecular biology evident by peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals. Candidates who have expertise in epigenetics, molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics will be given priority. The successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Eligibility to apply for fellowships and/or training grants would also be a distinct advantage. Interested candidates should forward a cover letter detailing their experience and research interests, a curriculum vitae, and the name and contact information of three referees to Dr. Jennifer Spangle; e-mail: Jennifer.spangle[at]emory.edu.
