Summary About the Position: The employee serves as the G8X Division Chief, responsible through the Director of Integration to the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 for strategic integration of Special Access Programs (SAPs) and sensitive activities subject to the provisions of AR 380-381, DoDD 5205.07, and DoDI 5205.11 into the Army's Planning, Programming, and Budgeting (PPB) Processes. Responsibilities The employee is responsible for providing expert advice, assistance, direction, policy guidance, and technical analysis of Army and DoD-wide SAPs. Analyzes, evaluates and recommends investment strategies to optimize accomplishment. Administers and manages disciplined, responsive, and effective integration for all types of Army SAP and sensitive activities into Army PPBE processes. Formulates strategies, policies, and plans to set organizational direction, priorities. The employee supervises a staff of civilian, military, and contractor personnel, planning assignments, establishing schedules, determining objectives, and setting priorities for the G8X Division. Assigns work based on mission priorities Integrates SAP considerations into all G-8 and Army Staff prioritization efforts for resourcing and modernization. Coordinates with directorates and Army Staff offices to integrate estimates, complete assessments, and execute modernization efforts. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) strategically planning at the Army Command Level or higher in which you analyzed requirements, developed detailed plans, orders, and directives; 2) coordinating major revisions of policy or procedures; 3) demonstrating skills in written and oral communication sufficient to present information on the scope, methods, and results of studies; 4) participating in disciplined teams of military and civilian specialists, established and maintained effective relationships with senior leaders, subordinate commands, customers, information sources, and project team managers. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Ability to lead or supervise Leadership Oral Communication Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
