Job Summary

Join the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Purdue University in Indianapolis (PIN) and become an integral part of our mission to build a better world together. As a key member of our operations team, you'll have the opportunity to design, plan, and coordinate activities that drive the success of ECE at PIN, while experiencing unrivaled pride in Purdue's 150-year legacy of excellence. In this role, you'll contribute to strategic planning and implementation, shaping the future of our program by developing activities to meet the goals and mission of ECE at PIN. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing events and trainings that foster innovation, as well as supporting grant writing to secure resources for groundbreaking initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plans, directs and implements programs or events, including helping in the creation of new programs, development and writing ABET accreditation plans and study documents, and the creation of materials to support these programs/events.
  • Provides communications and serves as liaison to program participants, collaborators in other units, community partners, vendors and the public.
  • Provides support to the recruitment, training, management, scheduling, and evaluation of staff, students and volunteers at Indianapolis. Serves as a resource and provides guidance to team staff members as needed.
  • Research available grants and works closely with faculty to identify funding needs and
  • potential sources, creates grant proposals that further advance support of the program and program participants.
  • Keep abreast of best practices to recommend policies and procedures that deliver a quality program experience.
  • Teaches the sophomore seminar course and coordinate industry visitors to the seminar.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in related field
  • Combinations of related education and experience may be considered
