Business Development Analyst

Core Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Business Development (Client) Pipeline, ensuring data accuracy for status updates, dates, values, and customer information.
  • Manage the Client Content Library, which includes creating and organizing folders, uploading documents, and managing content.
  • Administer the Client Forecast database by downloading, converting, and analyzing newly released agency forecasts against established criteria to identify new opportunities.
  • Conduct research using federal business development resources (e.g., SAM, GovWin IQ, USAspending.gov, FPDS), reference materials, social media, and other open-source data.
  • Execute lead generation activities for new contracts and task orders. This includes contacting Contracting Officers/Contracting Specialists, connecting with Industry Partners, networking, attending industry events, and other prospecting methods.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings with current and prospective customers and partners to discuss viable opportunities and understand their business needs.
  • Initiate and process Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs)
  • Develop, respond to, and manage capability matrices for new opportunities.
  • Participate in RFI and proposal development activities, including creating document templates, populating documents with stock content, interviewing SMEs, updating resumes, and creating past performances.
  • Organize and coordinate marketing efforts, meetings, and industry events.

Position Growth Opportunities:
  • Ensure compliance with all solicitation requirements and company standards, to include using AI prompts to validate.
  • Conduct color team reviews and revisions of proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, to include using AI prompts to score content against evaluation criteria.
  • Assist with the development of the pursuit strategy, determining customer needs, and identifying the strengths and weaknesses in pursuit of the opportunity.
  • Assist with capture activities to include teaming; leading SMEs through the development of staffing, technical, and management solutions; and leading Gate Reviews.

What You'll Need:
  • Proficient in utilizing federal business development resource tools, including SAM, GovWin, agency forecast websites, market intelligence tools, and AI applications for researching and analyzing contract data, opportunities, and acquisition forecasts.
  • Skilled in qualifying prospective business opportunities to align with organizational goals and strategies.
  • Proven experience in interacting and collaborating with government and customer personnel, including contracting officers, specialists, program managers, and agency decision-makers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government contract vehicles, including GWACs, IDIQs, MACs, and BPAs.

Skill Sets/Education/Certificates:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Over 2 years of experience in a federal business development environment for a federal government contractor.
  • Basic understanding of federal government procurement policies and practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in utilizing AI tools and technologies.

Clearance Level:
  • US Citizen, Clearable.

Work Location / Hours:
  • This position can be fully remote.
  • If based in the DC Metro area, the candidate is expected to work from our corporate offices in Tysons Corner one day a week (Wednesdays).
  • Occasional travel may be required for conferences or other Client activities.
  • Must be able to surge support hours to meet deadline driven events.
