Quality Assurance Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform initial and continuous file reviews to ensure front line staff follow record keeping and file organization that meet compliance standards
- Collect statistical information from CARES, ETO and/or other required databases to confirm data
- Provide quality assurance for case management input and charting in client-based data systems including CARES, ETO, and other databases as needed
- Conduct program audits and assist with funder audits
- Work closely with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Specialist to ensure program continuity and timely workflow, including case manager compliance issues and successes
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
- Observe client database managerial reports on a regular basis
- Report to the Program Director and Asst. Executive Director any issues with client records, including but not limited to, overdue service plans, contact lapses, poor or missing progress notes, and any staff malfeasance.
- Maintain a secure, organized and accessible archive of program data.
- Report suspected employee malfeasance directly to the General Counsel.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study required master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience in social services or a relevant sector.
- Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.
- Excellent communication, writing and math skills
- Excellent computer skills including a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required, to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work
