Summary This position is assigned to Entertainment Services Branch (N923); CNIC; Millington, TN. Incumbent serves as a Headquarters Supply Technician responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing the films, Secure Digital (SD) cards, hard drives prints, and related material for entertainment motion pictures. The mission of Navy Motion Picture Service (NMPS) section is to provide entertainment motion pictures for the Navy, Marine Corps, Military Sealift Command, State Department, and Coast Guard. Responsibilities In order to qualify for this position, resumes must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the position. Duties include but are not limited to: Performs a variety of clerical supply duties involving motion pictures and related hard drive prints and materials that are not completely standardized. Maintains account and records, completes individual transactions, provides customer assistance and screen reference files. Receives, checks, and stores shipments. Opens crates, cartons, and other containers as required. Verifies contents and counts and prepares appropriate reports and stocking documents. Lifts containers weighing up to 25 pounds. Ensures accuracy of data base records. Conducts physical inventories, inspects to determine conduction of material and performs research to resolve discrepancies. Posts receipt documents. Provides advice in clearing discrepancies in records. Prepares reports and correspondence involving shipping, receiving and inventory discrepancies. Processes shipments of material including SD cards, posters and Navy Solid State Players (NSSPs) and other related material. Identifies locations of material, pulls it, and prepares for shipment. Utilizes automated mailing system to process shipments. Verifies hard drive prints are delivered, checked, recorded, processed and entered in a spreadsheet. Drives government vehicle to deliver material to the Post Office. Performs quality control checks and prepares written reports indicating the condition and recommends acceptance or rejection of the item(s). Prepares recurring and special reports and compiles statistics from data and records as requested or needed. Extracts and assembles data from files and other records. Utilizes motion picture database and other computer systems and related software to scan tapes, correct problems, prepare data, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs.A qualified candidate must possess the following: At least one year of specialized experience receiving, storing, and distributing materials. A qualified candidate must also possess the following: Knowledge of clerical or office related work sufficient to update and maintain inventory records. Knowledge of standardized regulations, policies, or other instructions related to supply or inventory management. Knowledge of the automated motion picture data base to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports and make shipments. Knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the NMPS. Knowledge of the requirements to ensure accuracy of items requiring special handling. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Ability to utilize hand tools to open and close shipment containers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy. Education This position does not have a positive education requirement. Additional Information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
