Quartz Core Business Platform Developer This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring that software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, and that solutions are well designed with maintainability, ease of integration, and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns. Responsibilities: Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Mentors other software engineers and coaches the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack. Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Automates manual release activities. Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Globally distributed object databases. Scalable compute fabric. Shared repository of reusable business code. Automated SDLC for testing and deployment. Analytic libraries. Standardized enterprise reference data. You will deliver: Improvements and enhancements to the QFS. Solutions to enterprise initiatives that cut across trading desks. Contribute and own business APIs that provide standardized solutions across trading desks. Cross asset solutions for deal capture, pricing, position keeping, and risk requirements. Required Skills: 3+ years of Quartz development experience. Exposure to the QFS is a plus. Substantial programming experience. Exceptional knowledge of computer science data structures. Application Coding/Application Design/Application Development PYTHON/C++/SQL. Desired Skills: An interest in capital markets. The desire to work in a test-driven software development environment that relies on iterative feedback. Education Requirements: BS Degree in Computer Science or Related Field. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
