Cherokee Nation System Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced

Threat Intelligence Analyst

to join our cybersecurity team, responsible for monitoring and analyzing cybersecurity threats that could impact the organization. The ideal candidate will use technical expertise and investigative skills to identify and assess potential threats, gather raw data, and develop comprehensive threat assessment reports. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying emerging cyber trends, prioritizing threats by severity, and developing mitigation plans. The Threat Intelligence Analyst will also contribute to the improvement of the organization's risk management program through critical thinking, gap analysis, and effective implementation planning.

Threat Intelligence Analyst Responsibilities Include: Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats to the organization by examining data from various sources, including security tools, threat feeds, and intelligence reports. Assess and identify potential cyber threats, leveraging investigative skills and security tools to evaluate their severity and likelihood. Gather, analyze, and compile raw data to develop actionable threat assessment reports, providing insights into current and emerging threats. Identify and track emerging trends in cyber threats, developing proactive recommendations to enhance the organization's defenses and prevent incidents. Prioritize threats based on severity and potential impact on the organization, and create targeted mitigation plans to address vulnerabilities. Conduct gap analysis and apply critical thinking to assess the effectiveness of current security controls, recommending enhancements where needed. Develop and implement risk management improvement plans to address identified gaps, strengthen defenses, and reduce the organization's overall threat landscape. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support threat intelligence operations and integrate threat data into security decision-making processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of threat intelligence trends, emerging technologies, and threat actor tactics to continuously refine threat identification and response strategies. Help the Incident Response (IR) Team Lead to oversee the effort to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to responding to security incidents according to established policies and best practices. Manage, utilize, support, and monitor the customer's tool suite; requires familiarity and experience using the customer's tools, technologies and products: FireEye, Trellix, Encase, Splunk Enterprise Security, Tenable Security Center (SC), Cylance, McAfee Endpoint Protection, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO). Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Threat Intelligence Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat intelligence, threat analysis, or incident response. Proficiency with threat intelligence tools and investigative methodologies. Experience in conducting threat assessments, analyzing raw data, and developing actionable threat reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform gap analysis and prioritize threats effectively. Familiarity with risk management frameworks and security best practices. Preferred Skills: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA), GCTI, CISSP). Experience with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools. Ability to communicate complex threat information to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
