IT – AWAC Services Job Summary: Working closely with CTO to provide direction, guidance, and definition of IT technology to effectively support corporate business strategy. Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy: Assist in defining Allied World long-term technology roadmap with technical target state and ensure multi-year plan incorporates and aligns with corporate technology strategy. Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and cost optimization in current state architecture. Collaborate with senior management to align enterprise architecture strategy with overall business strategy. Design and implement architecture frameworks: Systematically capture and document architectural information following the TOGAF framework and maintain existing BDAT domain assets, standards, and guidelines. Create and formalize reference architectures, architectural patterns, and technology best practices. Conduct architecture assessment of business-driven initiatives and provide recommendations to align proposed high-level and low-level designs with corporate future state architecture. Periodically re-baseline BDAT (Business, Data, Application, Technology) architectural domains to ensure corporate blueprints are kept current. Collaborate with stakeholders: Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to understand their requirements, challenges, and objectives. Translate business needs into architectural designs in collaboration with Pillar Tech Leads. Foster collaboration and build strong relationships with internal teams. Moderate Technical Architecture Committee, monitor technical assessment checklists, quantitative and qualitative evaluation of business concepts and establish governance best practices to ensure solutions and technology decisions are made with valid reasoning and future objectives in mind. Present and communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Technology evaluation and selection: Assess vendor solutions and participate in the selection process for third-party products or services. Contribute to technology-driven initiatives, such as digital transformation, cloud migration, and modernization projects. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience of 10+ years working as a technical lead or similar role (preferred in insurance domain). Overall 15+ years of industry experience with hands-on development skills. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, ADM and ArchiMate. Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure technology architectures, including AWS and AZURE cloud-based solutions. Proficiency in analyzing complex business and technical requirements and translating them into architectural designs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in leading cross-functional multi-geographical teams and driving technology initiatives. Proficiency in defining and implementing technology roadmaps, reference architectures, and architectural patterns using UML. Prior experience with designing and implementing microservices architecture. Solid understanding of data integration, security, scalability, and performance considerations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Knowledgeability of an EA tool (Archi, BizzDesign) is preferred. Attention to detail and able to prioritize day-to-day work effectively. Special Responsibilities:
