joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration. HOW A NETWORK MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Manages network administration and support operations for a business area or customer, including supervising assigned professional and support staff. Supervises and provides guidance to a team ensuring work quality and completion of projects and tasks. Drives completion of projects and tasks by identifying challenges and finding ways to remove impediments. Works with customers, other teams, and vendors to ensure team success. Manage completion of projects, change requests, and incident resolution ensuring availability of services for the customer and its users. Provide critical analysis of current solutions and solution recommendations to identify right-sized solutions that provide security, redundancy, and fault tolerance. Extensive knowledge of company policies, processes, and procedures - Understanding of company strategic goals and how they align to business operations. Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor of Science degree; OR in lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required. Required Experience: 10+ years of related professional work experience. Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in Network Design and Engineering. Demonstrated experience in Performance and Capacity Management. Demonstrated experience in Incident Isolation. Demonstrated experience in Network Monitoring. Demonstrated experience in Network Configuration Management. Security Clearance Level: U.S. Citizenship Required. Possess Q or TS level clearance (or their equivalency) with the ability to obtain a Q level clearance. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain such clearance as a condition of employment. Required Skills and Abilities: Effective administrative and organizational skills. Effective people management skills. Preferred Certifications: CISSP CASP ITIL Project Management Location: This role requires on-site presence in Washington, D.C. GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: 401K with company match.
