The ideal candidate will have significant litigation experience, especially in fee disputes, marketing-related legal matters, and mass tort cases. The position also requires expertise in providing legal advice on employment law, ethics, compliance, and business-related legal matters. Location: Duties: Address fee disputes and marketing-related legal matters. Draft and manage cease and desist (C&D) letters. Conduct business-related legal research and analysis. Manage mass tort cases as the Mass Tort Administrator. Provide legal advice and guidance on employment law matters. Offer counsel on ethics-related issues. Review contracts for legal and business-related matters. Conduct conflict analysis and recommend appropriate solutions. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Assist in closing high-value case sign-ups, particularly for major and catastrophic cases. Requirements: Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. 15+ years of legal experience, with a focus on business litigation, fee disputes, marketing matters, and mass tort cases. Proven experience managing C&D letters and conducting business research. Knowledge and experience in employment law, compliance regulations, and contract review. Ability to assist in high-value case sign-ups. Independent problem-solver with a proactive approach. Retired judges encouraged to apply. Bilingual candidates preferred (Spanish and English), but not required. Ideal candidates from California and Illinois. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active membership in the State Bar of relevant jurisdiction(s). Skills: Expertise in business litigation and mass tort management. Strong drafting and communication skills for legal documentation (C&D letters, contracts, motions). Knowledge of employment law, compliance regulations, and contract law. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions. Proven leadership and case management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
