A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate / Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its team. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with significant opportunities for direct client interaction, trial experience, and handling high-stakes matters for a diverse client base of well-known NYC landlords and developers. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in real estate and commercial litigation, particularly with a focus on landlord-tenant issues in the New York City area.

Uniondale, NY Duties
Handle NYC-based landlord-tenant court appearances, including preparing predicate notices such as rent demands, termination notices, and notices to cure. Draft pleadings for plenary actions related to breach of contract, lease agreements, and guarantees. Prepare and negotiate lease modifications, surrender agreements, and other related landlord-tenant agreements. Provide day-to-day legal advice to real estate operators, particularly those focused on the NYC region, and handle matters across the U.S. Draft motions for summary judgment and motions to compel. Appear in landlord-tenant court daily to argue motions and try cases. Manage and respond to a significant volume of internal and external email communications in a timely manner. Commercial and construction litigation experience is a plus. Requirements
Experience : Minimum of 7 years in real estate/commercial litigation, with specific experience in landlord-tenant law in the NYC area. Skills :
Strong understanding of NYC landlord-tenant law and related legal documents. Excellent drafting and litigation skills, particularly in real estate disputes. Ability to manage a high volume of communications and case files.
Preferred Experience :
Landlord/tenant trial experience. Commercial/construction litigation experience.
Work Ethic : Ability to thrive in a high-velocity environment, with occasional late nights and weekends required to meet client needs. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission). Skills
Strong litigation and court appearance experience, particularly in real estate and landlord-tenant matters. Excellent communication and client management skills. Strong organizational abilities, with the capability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and agreements.
