Houston, TX (On site) **Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future** Responsibilities:
Work closely with client's intermediaries and internal Cognizant authorities to build high impact solutions. Define solution vision and direction building on commonalities and benefits across lines of business and technologies. Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and maintainable microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with other microservices and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers. Advise on best practices for microservices architecture, including design patterns, security, and performance. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices. Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team. Qualifications:
Highly experienced Sr. Architect with 15+ overall experience. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional, Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer. 10+ years of professional experience in Java development. Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Data, Spring Security). Experience with microservices architecture, design patterns, and best practices. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and other related technologies. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Passion for learning new technologies and a strong desire to stay current with industry trends. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Benefits:
