You’ll work closely with the Velvet Caviar leadership team, reporting directly to the COO. The ideal candidate has a comprehensive understanding of HR functions, spanning from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement, retention, performance evaluation, team building activities, and developing workspace feng shui. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Talent Acquisition: Understand hiring needs, and create compelling job descriptions Source, screen, and interview candidates for open positions Conduct employee onboarding and develop employee guidelines Help managers improve interviewing techniques and assessment methods Collaborate with HR colleagues to expedite talent screening Employee Management, Engagement, and Retention: Provide support to employees in various HR-related concerns such as leaves, compensation, and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise Conduct monthly check ins and quarterly reviews with each US employee to measure performance, satisfaction, and career direction Organize and coordinate engagement activities for NY employees annual retreats Design and implement employee retention strategies Conduct annual performance reviews and salary appraisals Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to gather insightful information Compensation and Benefits: Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, leaves, and others. Maintain monthly budgets for payroll and HR expenses Other duties: Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, ensuring confidentiality and data security. Collaborate with HR colleagues to develop org charts and employee resources Collaborate with leadership on workspace improvements and aesthetics Maintain office organization and cleanliness for the NY headquarters MUST-HAVES: 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, focusing on talent acquisition and employee relations. Bachelor in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Motivated to build a world-class organization and remarkable brand. Exceptional communication and Interpersonal skills. Able to manage multiple hiring needs with expedited timelines. Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organization. Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and proactively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment when needed. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
