We are seeking a skilled Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team. The central role of the HR Manager will be to handle administrative and management tasks related to the organization's talent management plan, compensation policies, and benefits plan administration. The position is located in Gurnee, Illinois, United States. Responsibilities: • Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programs including health, retirement, FSA, life insurance, and voluntary benefits. • Evaluate and compare organization's benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information. • Propose changes in plan design or new plans according to market conditions or employee usage patterns, working with brokers, consultants, and vendors for the development and ongoing operation of benefit plans. • Develop census data and analyze quotations from insurance companies provided by our brokerage firm. • Prepare announcements, correspondence, and conduct employee meetings during open enrollment periods, new employee orientation, and other times when plan changes occur. • Assist in developing strategies to contain healthcare costs of the organization. • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, reviewing and analyzing changes in laws pertaining to benefits and reporting necessary or suggested changes to management. • Aid employees by investigating and reviewing problems with claims or insurance-related issues. • Administer leave request system including approving and tracking employee leaves requested under the Family and Medical Leave Act and other special leaves such as jury duty, bereavement, emergency, etc. • Oversee the onboarding and exiting process. • Assist with training and development efforts, legal compliance activities, and drive adherence to the Employee Handbook. • Provide advice and counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding human resources policies, procedures, and employee benefits, including collective bargaining agreements and the personnel rules. • Manage the records retention procedure for the HR Division. • Stay updated on and implement policies and procedures for the organization to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. • Train and direct on proper selection procedures following statutes, policies, and collective bargaining agreements. • Manage the Human Resource portion of the organization's website including job postings, collective bargaining agreements, ordinances, and policies. • Assist and/or lead special projects, maintain records, and provide regular reports. Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Human Resources • Understanding and experience with FMLA • Familiarity with Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) • Experience with Flexible Spending Account (FSA) • Proficiency in benefits administration • Experience in benefits coordination • Understanding of compensation and benefits • Familiarity with disability benefits • Understanding of EOB - Explanation of Benefits • Knowledge of various insurance benefits • Experience with retirement benefits • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services • Experience with ADP Workforce Now • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode • Proficiency in using Ceridian software • Understanding and experience with HCM • Strong communication skills • Knowledge of compliance in HR practices • Experience in managing employee relations
