Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Linux Enterprise System Administrator to architect, implement, and maintain robust device management solutions for Linux (RHEL) systems using JumpCloud. This role will focus on ensuring secure and efficient Linux system operations, including addressing Ubuntu systems used by SWX. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to enhance system reliability and security. Key Responsibilities: Architect, Implement, and Maintain Linux Device Management Utilize JumpCloud to manage and maintain Linux (RHEL) device systems, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Develop and optimize device management configurations to meet evolving business needs. Deploy Security Updates: Manage the deployment of relevant Linux (RHEL) OS and application security updates. Monitor system health and security to ensure updates are applied successfully. Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Linux (RHEL) device management during standard business hours (EST). Provide proactive troubleshooting and continuous improvement of system stability. On-Site Support: Offer on-site support to manage physical Linux devices, including setup, deployment, and maintenance tasks. Collaborate on Ubuntu System Management: Work with the SWX team to design and implement a comprehensive management plan for Ubuntu (Linux) systems. Develop strategies to optimize security and performance for SWX environments. Qualifications: Proven experience in Linux enterprise system administration, including RHEL and Ubuntu systems. Expertise with JumpCloud for Linux device management. Strong knowledge of Linux security practices, patch management, and troubleshooting. Experience in deploying and managing Linux OS updates and application patches. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Availability for on-site support as required. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SWX or similar software development environments. Experience in designing and implementing admin credential management strategies. Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or equivalent are a plus.
